On November 28, the Granidera’s facilities of S. Lourenço do Douro were again visited by a group of about 60 5th year students, and their teachers, from the neighboring Sande’s Basic School. This visit took place within Natural Science subject and intended to frame the study of the rocks made in classes and promote the contact of students with the natural stone sector of activity that has great relevance to the local economy. As always, Granidera welcomed the initiative with open arms, willingly opening its doors to the surrounding community. The visitors toured the different sectors of the company taking contact with the different products and manufacturing processes. Subsequently, a small snack was offered to visitors after which a question and answer session was held to answer their questions. Granidera hopes to have provided a different, interesting and enlightening day for these students and states its willingness to participate in future similar initiatives.
