On November 29, the Granidera’s facilities of S. Lourenço do Douro were visited by a group of students from the nearby Sande’s basic school. The study visit requested by the Nature Science teachers of the 5th grade classes had the objective, among others, to frame the study of rocks made in the classes and to familiarize the students with a sector of activity of great relevance to the economy of the region. Granidera approached the request promptly and enthusiastically, thus reinforcing the good relationship between the company and the surrounding community. The group toured the different sectors of the company guided by some company officers who explained what was being seen. Afterwards followed a small snack, offered by the company, and a question and answer session. The group was also accompanied by some members of the school’s Journalism Club, who covered the event and made an interview with the company’s administration in the person of Mr. Hélder Pereira.
